Did you know that...
Thomas Fink and Yong Mao, scientists at the University of Cambridge, have through mathematical studies shown that there are 85 ways of making a tie knot. In their study they look att aestetical, strength, balance and rythm factors and explain why we tie a tie in the way we commonly do it today. Moreover, they point at many new possible ways of making a tie knot. Read more in their book ”The 85 Ways To Tie a Tie - The Science and Aestetics of Tie Knots”.
